Free course on forestry implementation in Rianxo
Registration is now open for a new free training course on forest land implementation, part of the training program related to ‘monte’ management and use, coordinated by the Rianxo City Council within the framework of the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory.
May 30, 2025 – The Rianxo City Council has opened registration for a new free training course on forest land implementation, aimed at anyone interested in sustainable ‘monte’ management. The activity is part of the training program related to ‘monte’ management and use, developed within the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory.
The training will have a total duration of 60 hours, covering key theoretical and practical topics such as:
- Design and implementation of forest plantations
- Forest fire prevention
- Forest certification and good management practices
This initiative is part of the Laboratory’s commitment to strengthening local capacities and supporting transition processes toward more sustainable forest management models, generating practical knowledge applicable to the region.

Barbanza Ecosocial Lab has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) of the Government of Spain, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
Coordinated by Fundación RIA, the Barbanza Ecosocial Lab is a project dedicated to promoting the transition towards environmental sustainability and strengthening resilience in the territorial management of the Barbanza common land.
