'Escola aberta e con fume': notebook for primary education teachers
The Laboratory presents its school activity notebook for teachers in the third cycle of Primary Education. This educational tool is part of the ‘Escola aberta e con fume’ project, coordinated by the Montescola Foundation.
May 20, 2025 – This document is part of the ‘Escola aberta e con fume’ (Open and Smoke-Free School) educational project, developed by the Montescola Foundation within the framework of the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory. The document aims to bring knowledge about Common Land Communities (CMVMC) to schools and promote students’ connection with their environment. Through educational resources and adaptable proposals, the document seeks to foster a critical and committed approach to the territory, local culture, and current socio-environmental challenges.
Structured in three interrelated sections (CMVMC, On Both Sides of the Gate, and Activiteca), it offers progressive materials organized into five levels of depth, as well as complementary tools for teachers. The content covers everything from the history and functioning of CMVMC to current challenges, such as forest management and democratic participation.
Barbanza Ecosocial Lab has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) of the Government of Spain, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
Coordinated by Fundación RIA, the Barbanza Ecosocial Lab is a project dedicated to promoting the transition towards environmental sustainability and strengthening resilience in the territorial management of the Barbanza common land.
