Environmental volunteer day in the Fieitoso of Taragoña

The Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory is organizing another volunteer day in Rianxo, this time in the O Fieitoso common land community of Taragoña (Rianxo).

June 12, 2024 — The activity will take place on the morning of Saturday, June 22, focusing on a plot of land where the community is regenerating a native hardwood forest. Participants will learn how to conduct formative pruning and, at the same time, will remove black locust trees from the area.

The day is open to the public and all ages are welcome, and will also feature the participation of an international group of volunteers from the degrowth conference organized next week by the University of Vigo. Registration is required to participate, and must be done by sending an email to info@montescola.org by Thursday, July 10th. At the end of the day’s work, snacks will be available to all participants.

Coordinated by Montescola (the entity responsible for community foresight, volunteering, and environmental education activities at the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory) the event also includes the collaboration of the O Fieitoso common land community.
